About Us

Mission

The mission of the Kaiser Family Foundation is to provide timely, reliable, and non-partisan information on national health issues to policymakers, the media, and the general public. To advance that mission, the Foundation established kaisernetwork.org in November 2000.

Kaisernetwork.org is the premier online resource for timely and in-depth coverage of health policy news, debates and discussions. This free and comprehensive multimedia service connects users to the events, people, information, and research that shape health policy.

Features:
  • HealthCast: Regular live and archived webcasts of key meetings, press conferences, congressional hearings, and other health policy events including transcripts and links to related resources.

  • Podcasts: Audio-only files of kaisernetwork original programming, key meetings, press conferences, congressional hearings and other health policy events. Podcasts can be downloaded and transferred to mp3 players.

  • Daily Reports: Four online reports -- the Kaiser Daily Health Policy Report, the Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report and the Weekly Kaiser Health Disparities Report - provide summaries of news stories with links to the original articles and a fully searchable archive. The Kaiser First Edition (available daily at 8:30 am ET) provides an early morning glimpse of the day's top news and events in health.

  • Issue Spotlight: A compilation of the latest news, studies, and reference materials on key health policy issues. Features include a reference library, a glossary, key data, recent webcasts and links to other relevant information.

  • HealthPoll Search: A searchable archive of public opinion questions on health issues that allows users to know what Americans think about health issues, as well as what Americans have thought about health issues over time. Health Poll Search covers 30 topics and more than 300 subtopics and contains nearly 50,000 public opinion questions on health dating back to 1935.

  • Calendar: A searchable list of events in health policy, HIV/AIDS, health disparities and global health. Includes complete listings of HealthCasts with the ability to sign up to receive notification when an individual HealthCast is available for viewing on the site.

  • Email Updates: Receive the Daily Reports, First Edition and notification of events being webcast, by registering for daily and weekly emails.

  • Search: Search for a specific topic, event, report, resource, person, or organization in our extensive archives, which include HealthCasts of more than 500 events; links to hundreds of reports and publications; the Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report dating back to 1992; the Kaiser Daily Health Policy Report dating back to 2000; and the Weekly Kaiser Health Disparities Report dating back to 2006.
