The meeting was co-chaired by Peter Piot, the Executive director of UNAIDS and Drew Altman, President and CEO of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, whose organizations developed the Initiative.

"National Survey of Adolescents and Young Adults: Sexual Health Knowledge, Attitudes and Experiences"
This Planned Parenthood Federation of America teaching resource is based on Kaiser Family Foundation research and public education materials. The report examines what kinds of pressure young people face to be sexually active and how they handle the pressure; what they know about HIV/AIDS and STDs; what they know and how they feel about contraception and protection; and what sources inform and influence their decision making.

Global HIV/AIDS Online Database
The UNAIDS/WHO Global HIV/AIDS Online Database collates the most recent country-specific data on the spread and impact of the virus, together with information on risk behaviours (e.g. casual sex and condom use). Health sector response information (eg. data on people receiving treatment and coverage of hiv counselling and testing) is also an essential part of this database.
