Today's Topics In Health Disparities

This event launches the Men Get Depression national education outreach campaign to increase awareness of depression, reduce stigma, prevent suicide and promote screening and treatment for male depression. Outreach will have a special focus on African American and Latino communities.

 

Men Get Depression has been developed by State of the Art, a communications company focused on creating programs, materials and social marketing campaigns on topics in health and education.

 

Funding for this symposium is provided by the Josiah Macy, Jr. Foundation, Morehouse School of Medicine, National Institute of Mental Health and the Office for Special Populaitons, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Additional funding for the Men Get Depression television broadcast and outreach provided by: National Institute of Mental Health, WellPoint Foundation, Charles E. Kubly Foundation, Park Foundation, and the Carson J. Spencer Foundation.
