Creating a Marketplace for Expanding Coverage 3/28/2007 This webcast will provide an overview of the connector model and a presentation on Massachusetts's Commonwealth Connector. Individual and Employer Requirements 4/17/2007 This webcast will discuss implementing individual or employer requirements as a tool for coverage expansion, including state initiatives and legal considerations, such as the federal ERISA law governing employer-provided benefits. Financing Mechanisms and Benefit Packages in Coverage Expansions 5/3/2007 This webcast will address financing health reform plans, including the President’s proposal that would allow states to use disproportionate share hospital (DSH) money or other funds to provide affordable private coverage to the uninsured. There will also be a discussion on considerations in defining “standard” benefits and premium costs associated with the standard benefit package.
