A new report in the Journal of Healthcare for the Poor and Underserved explores the issue of how health care needs of low-income adolescents were met before they were enrolled in the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP.) Adolescents in New York and Florida were surveyed about prior health care needs and access. Jonathan Klein, M.D., M.P.H. is lead author and an associate professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Community and Preventive Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Klein was interviewed by the Kaiser Family Foundation’s Jackie Judd
