View Briefing ( video ) ( transcript ) In this briefing, the Kaiser Family Foundation announces results of a new U.S. survey on seniors and the Internet, e-Health and the Elderly: How Seniors Use the Internet for Health Information. The survey found less than one-third (31%) of seniors age 65 and older, have ever gone online, while more than two-thirds (70%) of next-generation seniors, age 50-64 years old, have used the Internet. There was also a significant difference when it came to researching health topics. Fifty-three percent of 50-64 year olds have used the Internet for research on health, versus only 21% of seniors over age 65.
