Gerard Anderson of Johns Hopkins University discusses a "Harris Interactive Survey on Chronic Illness and Caregiving" that was released in conjunction with the briefing. Richard Bringewatt, president of the National Chronic Care Consortium, describes how well Medicare responds -- or doesn't -- to beneficiaries' chronic care needs. Robert Friedland of the Center on an Aging Society joins the panel during the question and answer session. Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Alliance chairman, participates and the Alliance's Ed Howard moderates.
