"Health Care Proposals of the 2008 Democratic and Republican Presidential Nominees: Implications for Improving Access, Affordability and Quality for America's Minorities," Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies: The report examines how the health plans of Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) and Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) would address racial health disparities. It describes factors contributing to and the effects of racial health disparities, as well as previous efforts to reduce disparities.
