"A Closer Look"

The late Congresswoman Barbara Jordan was known as one of America's most eloquent orators. When President Clinton awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom he called her the "most outspoken moral voice" of American politics. Speaking the Truth with Eloquent Thunder introduces readers to some of her most important speeches. Jordan was on the board of trustees of the Kaiser Family Foundation from 1985-1993 and played a key role in the transition to the modern day Kaiser Family Foundation in 1990-1991.
