Option #2: Forwarding the Daily Update Email

Option #3a: Headline Syndication (Manual)

  • This option allows you to feature (in a designated section of your site) headline(s) from kaisernetwork's coverage of the conference, which link to the content on kaisernetwork.org.
  • Each day we will email you a list of the day's headlines (with URLs), and you can select which headlines you post to your site. This option requires daily maintenance but gives you the flexibility in choosing what appears on your site.
  • Sign up now to receive the Daily Update email each day during the conference, so you can select which headlines you want to post to your site.

Option #3b: Headline Syndication (Automatic Feeds)

  • This option allows you to have the day's headlines appear automatically on your site. This option does not require daily maintenance, but will require technical support on your end to place the HTML or JavaScript code on your site.
  • Should you use JavaScript, HTML-include or XML?
    • HTML-Include - Some web platforms and content management systems can incorporate HTML from a remote source directly into pages they serve. The HTML that is included is just a list of headlines that link to the news summaries on kaisernetwork.org. (For example, if you are using Cold Fusion you could use the CFINCLUDE function to pull the headlines on to your Web page.) We will provide the URL that you use to do the HTML-Include.
    • JavaScript - We give you Javascript code that you copy and paste into the appropriate pages of your Web site.
    • XML - We provide a URL that will give a simple XML feed of the headlines with links. This format is easily parsable to be integrated into many Web applications (e.g. Java, Flash, etc.).

Option #4: Full Content Syndication
(If you select this option, it is unnecessary to select Option 3.)

  • This option allows you to create a special section of your site dedicated to the XVI International AIDS Conference.
  • By using your site's header, footer, and style sheet, you can retain the look and feel of your site while displaying kaisernetwork's content. This allows you to retain your site's branding and navigation and to add your own custom text to the top of the page.
  • After the initial setup, this page will update automatically each time we add new content, and will not require daily maintenance.
  • If you select this option, we will provide the ASP.NET, ColdFusion, PHP, JSP or Javascript (AJAX) script. This will require a high level of technical knowledge on your end to build the page.
